Program Overview

The Idea-to-Scale Program – 2nd call follows a well-structured activity flow that will guide startups through their journey of growth, development, capacity building, and education. During the period of incubation, they will have access to all the resources and support provided by the program. They will be paired with experienced experts who provide guidance, share insights, and offer strategic advice throughout the program.

Regular mentorship sessions and workshops will be organized to address specific business challenges, foster skill development, and enhance the startups' capabilities. Mentors also will facilitate valuable connections within their networks to open doors to potential partners, investors, and customers.

Feedback sessions and performance reviews will be conducted individually with each startup, to help them refine their strategies.

Program Timeline

Follow an extensive program for the incubation of your startup, idea or existing business.

  • Startup Competition

    Selected applicants will have the unique opportunity to participate in the Startup Competition, which will last for three consecutive days. During this intensive phase, you will have the opportunity to refine and validate your ideas. Expert mentors and industry professionals will provide valuable advice to help you shape your vision into a viable business concept. During two days, the participants will learn about Ideation and Validation, Business model and presentation skills of their idea to any audience, while on the third day they will present the solution offered by their idea to the selection jury.
    15 winning teams
    On the third day of the "Startup Competition", after the presentation of the ideas before the jury, the 15 winning teams of this competition will be announced and will benefit from the support worth up to 10,000Eur. This support includes a grant of up to 2,000Eur and in this case you will be a beneficiary of the Idea-to-Scale business incubation program worth 8,000Eur, gaining access to other resources such as support in idea development, mentoring from international and national experts, workspaces, access to investments.

  • Demo day

    Demo day is the event that will be organized for the startups that have completed the incubation program. Graduating startups will be certificated for the completion of the program. This event will highlight an important milestone for startups allowing them to showcase their progress, attract potential investors, forge partnerships and networking with interested parties, and gain visibility in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Qualification Criteria

To be eligible for the program, potential applicants of the Idea-to-Scale incubator must meet these certain criteria.

Having a clear, innovative and well-defined business idea
Priority is on women entrepreneurs, co-founders with an idea, product or early-stage existing business.
Be 18 years old and above individual or team
Inspired individuals and/or teams who are willing to participate in program activities and events, and be dedicated throughout the duration of this call,
Live in Prizren or region

The Idea-to-Scale program is designed to help entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses and this one is coming as a diverse and comprehensive call for all selected startups.

Persons aged over 18/teams with innovative and creative ideas, business initiatives, willing to participate in program events and activities. The priority is on women entrepreneurs, co-founders with an idea, product or early-stage existing business.

Ideas will be selected by an evaluation committee made up of business and technology experts.

Your applications are acceptable individually or as a team.

This program’s duration is a 6-month period, including close mentoring group and individual sessions with local and international experts.

This program is implemented by Makerspace Innovation Center Prizren at the ITP Prizren under the Digital Transformation Center and is supported by GIZ Kosovo and Municipality of Prizren, and Swiss EP.

This incubation program offers a number of benefits to startups, including: access to resources, mentoring and networking, business development assistance, investment opportunities, flexible environment for startups to grow and develop their ideas, meet with other startups with whom they can collaborate, share ideas and support each other.
